100 Situps A Day Won’t Get You Abs, But THIS Will
It’s 2024 and I still see fitness “influencers” talking about doing certain exercises to drop belly fat or get you abs even though we know it doesn’t work like that.
You could do 100 situps a day for the next 5 years and still not have abs unless you get this one thing right:
Get your diet right for long enough to burn enough body fat to show your abs.
For some people, this might take a few months.
For others? It might take a few years.
It really depends on where you’re starting and where you need to be to make it happen.
The notion of “abs are made in the kitchen” is true, but at the same time it’s not the full story…
You’ll still want to train your abs so by the time your body fat is low enough, there will be some muscle there to show.
Even though I haven’t seriously trained abs in years, they still show because I trained them for years before that and got them really strong.
However, I never really did regular situps or crunches, but I did do exercises like:
- Hanging knee raises
- Hanging leg raises
- Cable crunches
