Bathroom Scale Diet Hacks
The bathroom scale is generally one of two things:
1. A useful tool for keeping tabs on your body weight
2. A mortal enemy designed to ruin people’s lives
While that fateful moment over 10 years ago when I was told I was fat would have put me closer to the ‘mortal enemy’ camp…
Fortunately, I was able to use that ‘much-higher-than-expected-number’ as a wake up call to take some deliberate action to change my ways.
And over the years, I’ve learned a few key tips to using the bathroom scale instead of letting it use me.
(uh… what?)
Anyway…
There’s a couple ways you can approach using the scale to benefit you:
The first approach is to weigh yourself every Sunday morning, first thing after the bathroom.
This is super easy to do and can give you a general idea of where you’re at without having to obsess over it.
The only downside is an isolated weigh-in doesn’t really paint the full picture of what your body weight is doing across the week.
I’ll explain that in a moment.
The more useful way to use the scale is every single day first thing after using the bathroom.
