Build More Muscle In Less Time Doing This
Years back, I used to think lifting as much weight as possible was the key to building strength and muscle.
So I would focus on adding more weight to the bar every week to the point where I was benching 265lbs, squatting 350lbs, and doing 40lbs lateral raises.
And the workouts I was doing at the time would take 60–90 minutes per session.
While it worked pretty well to get strong fast…
I only looked bigger because I was eating so much so I could keep up with the strength gains.
Fast forward to today…
I look so much better than I ever did back then.
And the crazy part?
I stopped benching entirely, and haven’t squatted more than 185lbs in over 6 months.
Let alone doing 40lbs lateral raises…
So what changed?
The first thing was my life situation.
When I was lifting much heavier years back, I had all the time in the world working a part-time job at a not-so-busy gym where I could lift weights on the clock.
I was single and had exactly zero children.
So spending an hour or two per day pushing heavy weight was no big deal.
