Fitness Influencers Claim Raw Meat Is Better For You
There’s this interesting trend I’ve noticed on social media lately where fitness “influencers” are eating meat that’s less and less cooked over time.
It’s got to the point where some are even eating completely raw meat like steak, ground beef, and so on…
Something about being more natural or something.
It’s not that I haven’t looked into it further, but the downsides…
- Worse digestibility
- Lower rate of nutrient absorption
- Oh and dramatically higher risk of disease and illness
…far outweigh the upsides, which are few and far between.
And this is all done in front of online audiences of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of people.
Here’s the big problem with this:
People with large followings who built a business out of it have no problem affording grass fed, grass finished beef from high grade locally sourced farms who take great care of their cattle.
But the people watching?
It’s not unreasonable to think some viewers are going to hop on over to their local Walmart and start eating beef out of the container…
