Fixing My Broken Goal Setting Habits For November 2024
I’ve always been a big fan of setting new goals every month, and for a while I was quite public about it too.
But I’ve realized I’ve been doing goals wrong this whole time.
Originally, I was setting entirely outcome based goals such as lose 5 pounds or make 10 sales which is fine and all, but that’s something you can’t directly control.
So over time, my bright idea was to purely focus on action based goals, such as track my calories every day or post content every day, but it’s not as exciting to turn your goals into mundane daily actions.
So my current solution?
Combine them both.
And to show you what I mean by this, let’s talk about my November goals:
1. Post daily content to grow my newsletter to 300 subscribers
The goal is 300 email subscribers, but the action is posting daily content on Medium and YouTube.
