How Do You Learn Good Exercise Technique If You’re New?

I’m always talking about how it’s important to perform your exercises properly so you can get more out of each lift and minimize injury risk…

But how do you learn the technique if you don’t have someone showing you how in-person?

Of course you could always find someone who knows how to perform each exercise you want to do, and ask or hire them to teach you.

But if that’s not an option…

Then the next best thing is a 2 step process:

Step 1: Watch tutorials on YouTube

There are lots of great technique videos on the internet, and to shortcut the search you can refer to Jeremy Ethier, Scott Herman, and Buff Dudes for most exercises.

Or you can watch my videos to see good technique, but I haven’t got around to doing tutorials (yet).

Watching these videos is a good way to visualize what it’s supposed to look like when you do each exercise.

But translating what you learn to actually perform each lift ain’t easy, so the next step is super important…

Step 2: Record yourself working out
