How I Handle Thanksgiving Without Losing Diet Progress

It’s kinda crazy how I moved to the Midwest in March and now it’s already Thanksgiving tomorrow.

This is one of those moments where I’m supposed to say “I don’t know where the time went” but I definitely know where the time went…

Anyway…

Thanksgiving tends to be a dietarily destructive day where people eat and drink from late morning until who knows when.

And yet, year after year I’ve had no issue with weight gain from that particular day because of a few reasons:

1. I eat pretty good on non-holidays
2. I don’t really overindulge on holidays in general
3. I take a simple approach to big meals I’ll share in a bit

The interesting part about holidays is people like to blame them for their lack of diet success, when in reality it’s the other 350 days or so that are the real culprit.

But I get it, because those are the days we all eat the most.

If you get a handle on your regular daily diet, even doubling your calories every holiday won’t ruin your progress.

However…

If you plan ahead a tiny bit, you can still enjoy everything Thanksgiving dinner has to offer without worrying…
