How To Increase Your Protein Intake In 3 Minutes Or Less

Recently, I had a conversation with a client about increasing protein intake a little bit because it can help with recovery and feeling more full and it got me thinking…

Since most people will opt for carbs and fat over protein, it might not be a terrible idea to boost your protein earlier in the day by doing what I’m about to share.

And even if you take my usual advice of building all your meals around protein sources, it can still make it easier to hit your protein goal for the day.

So what is my 3 minute protein hack?

Mixing a scoop of quality whey protein with a cup of water and downing it in the morning.

If you don’t mind the taste and texture, mixing a scoop in with 140g Greek yogurt can be a good option too.

Or if you’re feeling really crazy, you can put 30g of whey and 30g of water in a bowl and mix endlessly until you get a pudding-like texture which can be good from time to time.

No matter which option you choose, it’s a quick way to get somewhere between 20g and 36g protein early on in the day without having to prepare a whole meal, and without taking up a bunch of calories either.
