I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say they’re stuck at a certain weight in the gym, then I come to find out there’s a whole host of issues with their workouts that could be easily fixed.

And I’m not pretending I’m some kind of genius who gets stronger every single week and never has any setbacks…

But most of these progress problems can be solved with this one thing:

Try harder.

It sounds like an overly simplistic answer, but the truth is…

Most people can do way more than they think.

I remember watching a video years back where this guy ran a Super Squat program where you essentially don’t re-rack the bar until you do 20 reps with a given weight.

Even though I wouldn’t recommend that program to my worst enemies…

The point was that most people would have given up halfway though the set.

Meaning the guy did an extra 10 reps over what his brain would normally consider a hard set.

This might be an extreme example and would take much-longer-than-reasonable breaks between each rep…

But the point remains the same:
