How To Stop Missing Workouts

Back in late 2021 to early 2022, there was a 4 month period where I did 5 workouts per week every single week.

I’d pop out of bed at 5am, hit the coffee button on the machine that was set up the night before, pour myself a cup when it was ready, then head down to the basement to hit a workout.

I only had an adjustable bench, dumbbells up to 30lbs, and sheer will and determination to make it work…

And it worked.

Straight up, the biggest key to me not missing a workout during those 4 months was this:

I simply wanted to hit the weights.

That said, if you’re struggling to hit all your workouts then there are some things you can do to help build the habit so you can get results.

Results are like rocket fuel for motivation, and will put you in a near addicted state to lifting things up and putting them down.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. The Doctor Appointment Method

If you’ve ever had a doctor appointment or any appointment these days, you know how seriously they take it.

You show up 15 minutes early, even if they’re a half hour late.

No exceptions.
