I Was Forced To Create Wildly Efficient Workouts

Earlier this year Martha and I had our second daughter and up to that point I was going to the gym on my 2 days off from work and after my “short” 9 hour Saturday to stay in shape.

Each session took me a good 90 minutes to 2 hours from leaving home to working out to returning.

The crazy part?

My sessions were about 30 minutes long, with the exception of leg day where I did squats and deadlifts.

(those days always took longer… IYKYK)

It’s no surprise people take 2–3 hours or more to add the gym to their day if they’re doing hour sessions, cardio, and commuting to the gym.

And even less of a surprise that most people don’t stick to a workout routine at all.

So what’s the fix?

Be as efficient as possible.

Start working out at home.

Get the blood pumping.

Do something.

Now that we have 2 babies, the gym just doesn’t make sense in my schedule for the time being.

So I’ve been training at home with a couple pairs of light dumbbells, my body weight, and sheer will and determination.
