I’m Glad I Skipped Leg Day The Last Few Days…

Last night I hit a leg day with a couple sets of squats and Romanian deadlifts and one set of split squats and calf raises.

But the few days prior to that?

I’ve been skipping out on training due to a bit of an issue…

I’m not exactly sure what caused it, but my knee was acting up and I’ve been dealing with some minor, yet consistent pain.

The kind of pain where I know if I train it, it wouldn’t help and would only get more irritated.

So instead of pushing through and potentially making it worse, I gave it a few days of rest and yesterday morning…

I woke up with zero pain and it hasn’t come back.

And after training last night, the only issue I’m dealing with is the soreness from taking far too many days off from leg day.

Gotta love it.

But this brings up an important message:

Recovery is more important than a lot of people are willing to admit, and if you’re stressed from work, the pressure of life, eating a lower protein diet, and aren’t sleeping much…

(this is me minus the protein issue)
