Since my wife’s birthday on the 19th, I’ve eaten 6 delicious slices of cheesecake at 370 calories each and this morning I weighed in at 162.3lbs.

Not even 4 weeks ago, I was 169.2lbs…

Well, the answer is kinda yes, kinda no.

Unfortunately there’s no magical property of cheesecake that impacts body weight in a positive way.

In fact, it’s normally a great food to put on weight because it’s so calorically dense and not really filling…

However, there is some merit to fitting foods you enjoy into your daily calorie goal, as long as you:

-Hit your calories
-Eat enough protein
-Lift things up and put them down

Do this consistently and there’s no reason you can’t enjoy a daily treat which just might be enough to help you stick with your diet in the long run.

But it shouldn’t be the bulk of your diet.

For example, here’s what today’s diet is going to look like:

Pre-workout meal: Black coffee and ???

Post-workout meal: Black coffee, 3 eggs, 2 slices of cheddar, and 2 slices of Sara Lee honey wheat toast for my breakfast sandwich dipped in ketchup

Lunch: McDouble and small fry with a diet, caffeine-free Pepsi

Dinner: 7oz chicken tenderloins, 150g sweet potato mashed with 7g butter, and 15g Zax sauce

Dinner Part 2: 300g strawberry greek yogurt with 70g blueberries

Well… what do you know…

All this food is 1,901 calories.

My daily goal is 2,200.

All the triple chocolate and turtle cheesecake slices from the sampler are gone, but the plain and strawberry slices?

300 calories a piece.

Looks like I know what my pre-workout meal is lol

And that brings my total calories and macros for the day to:

  • 2,201 calories
