Is The Gym A Waste Of Time?
Came a comment from one of my articles:
“Prioritizing your marriage and your children is absolutely a good decision. Just remember you can’t be a good provider if you don’t take care of yourself. It seems you’ve got that figured out. Kudos.
Not to detract from your message, keep in mind that you can maximize time by not even going to the gym. With bodyweight exercises, you can easily get in a great workout that will keep you lean and mean without the wasted time involved in commuting to the gym or the distractions.”
Here’s what I have to say about that:
First off, thank you because I do believe I’ve found a good balance between improving my body and spending quality time with my family while staying in good health.
Injuries of the past have not returned due to my new training style, and it doesn’t take much time at all with my weird methods.
However, a great point is brought up:
Why don’t I just train at home?
Well, I did.
For a while too.
Long time readers know I built a home gym complete with a squat rack, barbell, plates, dumbbells, and an adjustable bench and it was great.
