I’ve Been Getting Robbed Blind By Wheat
Something I don’t talk about too much is the fact I have some beef with wheat.
I don’t know if it’s always been a problem…
But I do know it’s been causing me issues for the last couple years at least.
I’ve always thought it was perfectly normal to feel drowsy after a big meal, especially something like pizza.
That’s what I was told at least…
So I figured that’s just the way things are supposed to be.
But looking back, there were 2 key moments that helped me realize wheat was a source of my lower energy moments.
The first one was when I went on an anti-inflammatory diet before we had our first daughter.
I was trying to get as lean and clean as possible, and that was one of the ways I knew how.
Nothing crazy, but I was taking milk thistle along with eating foods like chicken, rice, broccoli, oats, blueberries, greek yogurt, steak, eggs, onions, peppers, and not a whole lot else.
Lo and behold…
Those were some of my highest energy days to this day.
But the first sign of a problem was during my Martha’s first pregnancy when I went back to my normal eating habits, plus a little extra.
