Keto, The Raw Food Diet, And SlimFast Walk Into A Bar…

…and none of them can have anything because it doesn’t fit their diet, so they say nothing and leave.

Terrible jokes aside, it seems like there are new diets popping up faster than a whac-a-mole on hard mode, and they all seem quite promising on the surface…

But when you take a moment to look into them, they’re really just a band-aid for a much bigger wound.

Take Keto for example…

It’s nothing new, but essentially the idea is to transition your body from using glucose as its primary energy source to ketones from dietary fat.

So you’re eating a whole lotta fatty foods, and minimal if any carbohydrates.

And it absolutely can get you in much better shape…

As long as you can tough it through the big energy drop and be incredibly strict about what you eat.

The crazy thing is due to gluconeogenesis, if you eat too much protein on the keto diet your body will naturally convert excess into carbohydrates to use as energy which will throw the whole thing off.

Then you have the raw food diet…

It’s a gargantuan no from me, dawg.
