Lose Your First 5 Pounds On Purpose

Yesterday, I talked about how it’s fairly easy to lose 5 pounds either on purpose or by accident.

The reason for this is because the body can hold more than that in muscle and liver glycogen, and you can use it up by:

-Eating way less on a busy day
-Walking a lot more than normal
-Hitting a really good workout and not overeating that day
-Random chance (not likely the case, but seems like it happens)

And when your body gets rid of the excess “water weight” you’ll be lighter by a considerable amount.

However, I’m not big on doing things by accident.

The best way to lose your first 5 pounds on purpose is to get your fitness habits in order.

After you get on a good workout program and walking/cardio routine…

The rest comes down to calories and protein.

When you eat a similar amount of food daily on a consistent basis, especially when you eat the amount your body needs or a little bit less, your body can regulate everything easier.

Not only are you taking in a similar amount of food so there will be fewer fluctuations in the amount of glycogen your body stores…
