Morning Workouts Vs Evening Workouts (Revealing My Preference)

Over the years, I’ve experimented with both early morning workouts and evening workouts to see which one works best for me and my schedule.

The result?

I’ve found 1–2pm is the ideal starting time energy wise.

Unfortunately, since I work the classic full time schedule (and then some) that’s not really an option for me or most people in general.

Which brings us back to the original question, so let’s talk a bit about what I’ve experienced from training in the morning compared to the evening…

Here are the pros of working out in the morning:

  • Starts your day off right
  • Easier to be consistent with
  • Don’t have to worry about it later

And for evening workouts:

  • Your body is more awake
  • Frees up your morning for other things
  • Makes falling asleep easier

As for any so-called “cons” they’re simply the inverse of the other.
