My 5 Minute Chicken Tenderloin Diet Hack

For the amount of chicken tenderloins I eat, I should probably talk about it more because it’s been one of the best things I did for not only getting enough protein, but also sticking to my diet better.

Sure, it is more expensive than the classic chicken breast, but the convenience it’s allowed me for my particular situation is unmatched.

Let’s break this down:

The packs we buy are typically 1–1.5lbs each, and they have anywhere between 9–12 pieces which is somewhere between 100–135g protein for the whole thing.

Since they’re part of our dinner nearly every day, I’ll usually start with 3 pieces, my wife will have 3 pieces, and our babies will usually split a piece.

This will leave anywhere between 2 and 5 pieces left, so depending on the pack, I’ll split the remaining between my dinner and a pyrex container.

For dinner I’ll usually have the chicken, either sweet potatoes or carrots and rice, and some Chick-Fil-A sauce.

And the 2+ pieces in the container?

I’ll pull ’em apart, mix in some barbecue sauce, and bring a couple slices of cheddar cheese to melt in there at work the next day for lunch.
