My Literal Big Fat Mistake
Way back in late 2013, I wanted to build as much muscle as possible.
So I had this bright idea:
Eat 4,000 calories per day for as long as I possibly could.
That would build muscle for sure, right?
After all, you gotta “eat big to get big” as they say…
So I got right to it, and started eating some big meals.
100g quick oats with 140g strawberries, 64g peanut butter, and 2 eggs or a protein shake for breakfast.
A whole pound of chicken breast with 4 servings of steak fries slathered with barbecue sauce.
‘Bigger-than-Chipotle’ burritos from a local joint.
Candy bars, full calorie sodas, Dunkin Donuts, and anything else I could stuff my face with to make sure I hit my calorie goal for the day.
These are just some of the things I remember eating on a near daily basis so I could build tons of muscle…
And after 4 months of eating to the point of feeling sick on a daily basis, here was the result:
I went from 163.8lbs all the way up to over 200lbs in about 120 days.
36lbs.
That’s 12 pounds per month.
