My Thoughts On Lifting While Sick
I don’t know if there’s something in the water around here, because everyone around me is catching something.
My wife and daughters, my coworkers, customers, and even people nowhere near me online talking about recovering from colds, etc.
And usually I’m unaffected by whatever is going around, or if I am affected, it’s only for a day or two max.
Yesterday, I woke up feeling fine…
But by the end of the day, I was on the couch wrapped up in a blanket with some crazy chills.
I had a leg day workout scheduled but decided to skip out and get some extra sleep instead.
And even though I wouldn’t say I feel great, I do feel considerably better this morning.
So should you always skip workouts while sick?
The truth is it’s hard to say, because some people feel better after a light workout, and others feel much worse.
There’s no way to tell which way it would have gone if I did workout last night, but I don’t think I made a bad decision.
I plan on lifting for the rest of my life, so resting instead of working out in the rare case I feel like this is not much of a problem…
