My Turkey-Free Turkey Day Plan
Yeah so I started this Thanksgiving day off with a bang by waking up at 4am for literally no reason at all.
Then at about 5am, Martha came out to the living room with Bubba 2 and we started finalizing the plan for today, so I figured I’d share what we’re doing.
For a bit of context, this is our first Thanksgiving on our own in over 2 years since we were living in her parents’ house to pay debt and save money.
For the 2 years prior to that move, we never really cooked a traditional dinner since we could both happily go without turkey.
So this year, we’re back to running the show on our own.
And since we aren’t having guests this year, it’s going to be quite simple.
Without extending the intro any further, here’s the plan:
First off, after I hit send we’re headed out the door to run a couple errands.
Then when we get back, I’m going to start cleaning up the place while Martha starts cooking her world famous beef stew which I’m quite excited about.
I’ll probably make a few egg and cheddar English muffin sandwiches for myself and Bubba 1.
As it gets closer to being ready, she’s also going to make some pumpkin bread which is top tier every time.
