My Wife’s New At-Home Workout Program To Rebuild Joint Stability And Strength
Martha and I are now over a year into being parents of 2, and this time around it took a whole lot longer for her to recover than after our first baby.
More than understandable.
It ain’t easy taking care of a baby and a toddler at the same time.
But now she’s ready to get back into working out which is exciting so…
I’m putting together a new workout program for her.
Am I going to put her back under a barbell?
No.
Not yet at least.
Considering the length of time away from lifting, it just wouldn’t be smart.
Even though she has the physical strength, what I’ve been (re)learning from my journey back to heavier weight is this:
Muscles recover much faster than joints do.
So we’re taking that into consideration, at least in the beginning phases, as well as the fact that joint mobility increases during pregnancy and takes a quite a while to become more stable again.
Because of all this, we’re starting with some super basic exercises to increase blood flow to the muscles and joints…
