The 16 Hour Workday Fitness Game Plan
Last year when I was working as a gym manager, I had multiple conversations with people who worked an insane amount of hours due to their chosen field.
A couple nurses, a police officer, and a firefighter.
They’d work anywhere between 11 and 24 hour shifts regularly.
The interesting part about this?
These conversations were held at the gym.
And I talked to them or at least said hi on a consistent basis, meaning they were still putting in the work despite working so much.
Now that I’m working 50 hours at my day job, 15–20 hours on my side gig, and another 7–10 hours into creating content for my fitness business each week…
I’m starting to relate, as I’m putting in upwards of 16 hours of work per day.
And much like the people I mentioned above, it really comes down to managing time and thinking one step ahead.
Is it smart to wake up early to hit the gym before working the rest of the day?
It depends, but in most cases even I’d argue no.
Getting sleep is important, especially if you’re finding the time to train hard.
But then when would you hit the weights if you’re working an insane schedule like that?
