The 6 Exercises You Need To Build Muscle And Look Better

It seems like every day there’s a new program, a new exercise, or a new style of training popping up every day for you to try.

But what if I told you there are only 6 exercises you need to build a body you can be proud of?

After working out for years, it really comes down to focusing on the basics and getting really good at them.

The rest is extra.

So if you’re as busy as I am as a married dad of 2 who works full time and is building a business on the side, but want to get consistent results, here are the 6 exercises to focus on:

1. The Horizontal Push — This could be bench press, push ups, a chest press machine, cable chest press, or any other exercise like that. Find one you like and focus on getting really good at it. Ideally, you’ll do 2–3 sets of 6–10 reps per session.

2. The Vertical Push — Here’s where you do some kind of shoulder press or dip. The key here is finding an exercise that works for you and doesn’t cause any pain, because this plane of motion can be tricky for many. Ideally, you’ll do 2–3 sets of 8–12 reps.

3. The Horizontal Pull — This is essentially rows. Doesn’t matter if you do dumbbell, barbell, machine, cable, or inverted, just make sure you do them, and the same one…
