The Problem With Eating At Restaurants

It’s no secret Martha and I enjoy eating at restaurants of various quality from casual fast food all the way up to making sure we’re aware of what we’re wearing before going.

Although most of our choices lately are the former, there’s a particular way we approach eating at different places that allows us to stay in shape.

Because the biggest problem with going to restaurants is this:

One meal at a restaurant can completely ruin your diet for the day.

For example, it’s not hard to slam down 1,500–2,000 calories in a single meal which is many people’s daily intake for weight loss.

Considering most people eat their normal meals then go out for dinner, that would be a giant setback which would take several days of regular dieting to make up for.

And sometimes even more than a week…

That said…

What we do is plan ahead whenever possible.

I’m pretty sure there was some kind of regulation passed where most restaurants have to list their calorie counts for meals in one way or another…

But you can use that to your advantage.
