The Strange Conundrum Of Recovering From Tough Workouts

One of the most important aspects of getting in shape is recovery, and if you’re trying to trim down so you can have a leaner stronger body…

You’re not going to be eating quite as much which is going to make it harder to recover from your workouts.

This puts you in a weird spot…

Because if you’re more sore than normal, the immediate thought is to take an extra day off from working out.

And there’s nothing wrong with that, as long as it’s just one extra day and not several or even weeks off.

On the other hand, one of the best ways to boost recovery is by increasing blood flow.

And you can do that via cardio or working out.

So with all this conflicting info, what do you do?

The First Step Is To Assess The Situation

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Did you take extra time off from working out?

Extra days off can cause you to be sore when you get back to it because your body isn’t as used to it.

Are you doing the same exercises as you usually do?
