This Milestone Diet Mindset Improves Your Success Rate

I don’t know how it became a saying, but it’s a saying nonetheless:

“How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time”

I’m not saying I recommend eating a whole elephant, because that would be crazy, not to mention nearly 10,000,000 calories.

But you can use this phrase and flip it to a form of milestone dieting:

“How do you lose 50 pounds? 5 pounds at a time”

It’s a whole lot easier to mentally digest losing 5 pounds 10 times than it is to lose 50.

I actually used a similar concept while driving all across the country a couple weeks ago:

Instead of worrying about the fact I had to drive 2,000 miles, I set mini-goals of driving 100 miles at a time.

And the cool part?

I got so good at doing it I was able to do a 300 mile stretch without stopping at the end of the trip.

And a big reason why was this:

I was so close to the finish line aka my home, I was extra motivated to keep going.

So if you have a big fitness goal, it’s a big help…
