This One Thing Makes ANY Workout Program Effective
I’ve spent several years of my life working in gyms, even more working out in them, and there was a common problem I noticed:
Too many people were doing the exact same exercises, sets, reps, and weight week after week after week and wondered why they made no progress.
Now there’s actually nothing wrong with doing the same exercises and sets for the rest of your life…
But if your goal is to make progress…
Then you only need to adopt this one principle:
A good workout program has a plan for progress.
Whether that means you’re adding weight to your exercises or shooting for more reps over time, it needs to happen on a regular basis to build strength, build muscle, and aid (ever so slightly) in fat loss.
So for example, if you’re doing a chest-supported machine row for your back and do the classic 3 sets of 10 reps.
If you do the same 3 sets of 10 reps next week, you’re really not doing much besides burning energy.
I need to be clear here, it’s still dramatically better than not working out…
