Week 5 Of My 6 Week Mini Cut Diet Is Done (Here’s What Happened)

This week I took the foot off the gas and was much more lax about dieting, probably because I already hit my goal of dropping 6 pounds in 6 weeks.

For a visual, here’s exactly how each week went:

Starting point — 169.2
Week 1 average — 165.7
Week 2 average — 163.8
Week 3 average — 163.7
Week 4 average — 163.1
Week 5 average — 162.9

The difference is lower this week due to eating over my maintenance calories one day and hitting maintenance calories 2 other days, instead of just 1 maintenance day as originally planned.

Despite that, I was still in a 1,200 calorie deficit which should lead to about 0.34 pounds of fat lost across the week.

In reality, that led to dropping 0.2 pounds of scale weight on average, likely due to some extra water retention from the multiple higher calorie days.

Either way, this past Thursday I clocked in at 161.7lbs which is the lightest I’ve been all year.

The focus for this upcoming week is to train hard, diet well, and finish strong.

So that’s exactly what I’ll do.

Any questions? Let me know.
