What Is The Best Time Of Day To Exercise?

For the longest time, I would hit the weights in the early afternoon because I worked at a gym and I always did the closing shift.

It only made sense to workout before I started working, especially because I would workout where I worked.

Then ever since my wife and I had our second baby and I picked up a job with a 7:30am start time…

At that point it only really made sense to train in the evening at home.

I did this for a little over a year, and sometimes hit a workout as late as 10pm so it was a weird habit to break.

That was only the case until the weather started heating up and my garage felt like a sauna even at night long after the sun went down.

So not all that long ago, I switched to morning workouts.

That was good for a week or so, but started to notice some old aches and pains start showing up again…

Come to find out, it was because my body wasn’t warmed up enough even if I did the same warmups I usually did.

So I learned to simply wait an hour or so after waking before I picked up a weight…
