Why Building Muscle Takes Forever
One thing I’ve learned over the years is building muscle is so much harder than losing fat…
It’s kinda funny:
To drop the fat, you literally do less.
Eat fewer calories, have smaller meals, cut out snacks, etc.
And the weird thing is…
If your diet is on point you don’t even have to workout to get leaner.
There was one point back in 2015 where I couldn’t train due to a painful shoulder injury, but was still able to lose weight from a bulk gone wrong because I ate the right amount of food.
Losing 15–30 pounds in a few months is more than possible.
But gaining 15–30 pounds of muscle?
That can take years, and some people never get to the top end of that range.
Even if your protein intake is on point, you have the best workout program, you’re getting great sleep and hydration, and you’re living a low stress life…
Adding 1–2lbs of muscle per month in your first year is a big accomplishment.
And that number is even less in year 2, 3, 4, and beyond.
But here’s the thing:
Most people don’t have those things in order because let’s be real…
