Why I’m Playing This Strength Training Game On Hard Mode
Not too long ago, I set some strength goals to achieve which would be absolutely easy to achieve if I was following the strength gain playbook:
- Eat as much food as possible
- Hit the weights hard (but not too hard)
- Sleep as much as possible
But being a dad of 2 who doesn’t want to gain a bunch of weight just to get strong, and doesn’t sleep nearly enough to produce optimal strength…
I’m admittedly playing this game on hard mode…
In fact, my goal is to gain no more than 6 pounds by March 1st, 2025 while still bringing up my numbers.
Despite all my pre-framing of excuses, I still will achieve my goals simply because I have a good program to follow.
