Why Losing Weight Feels Impossible And How To Solve It

Before I learned how food works in the body and how to relocate heavy objects to change my physique (aka strength training), I felt like getting in shape made no sense and was impossible.

I knew you were supposed to exercise and eat better, but I had no understanding of what that really meant.

And if I asked anyone I knew at the time, they would all say essentially the same thing I just said:

“Do cardio, lift weights, eat healthy”

Okay, fine.

Fortunately, one day my grandma shamed me into action and I instantly became resourceful by looking up how to do the whole fitness thing the right way.

By stroke of luck, I was searching around on YouTube and I happened to come across the much-more-rare-than-today information on macros, strength training, and how everything you do in your daily life impacts your body.

And it all started to make sense.

Instead of the classic “eat less, move more” advice…

I started learning about protein, carbs, fats, fiber, and calories.

I started learning about exercise selection, sets, reps, and progressive overload.
