You Don’t Have To Be A Bodybuilder To Get In Shape
One of the goals I set for myself this year was to grow my Instagram following, so I published hundreds of posts sharing insights to help people get in shape.
I lost 31 pounds and kept it off for over a decade (except the time where I bulked up to get as strong as possible, then got injured and dropped the weight with ease), so I figured my advice was valuable now that I’m a dad of 2 and I’m still in shape.
According to the Instagram comments, I couldn’t have been more wrong…
“This is not optimal”
“You should NOT be giving advice”
“Ur small lol”
And these were some of the more “kind” comments too.
Social media has rotted people’s brains, especially in the world of fitness.
They seem to think if you’re not overly jacked and lean, you’re small.
But if you’re big and you don’t openly admit to using… “special sports supplements” then you’re a dishonest liar.
It’s crazy out there…
(weirdly enough, the TikTok, YouTube, and X comment sections seem to be a whole lot more mentally stable)
