How I Avoid Getting Fat Eating Out Every Day
--
One of my biggest insecurities is not yet having my own place to live…
After we moved out of our old apartment back in the end of 2021, we’ve been living with my wife’s parents so we could pay off debt from “The Cove” era and save up for a house.
Without getting into details, it’s been incredibly uncomfortable for my family to live here for the last year and 4 months.
We’re used to cooking 80–90% of our meals… but here?
It’s not exactly possible most of the time.
So we try to get out of the house as much as possible and end up buying a lot of food out.
Somehow, I’ve managed to get in better shape than when we moved in, even though I’m intentionally gaining weight until my 90 day diet starts next week.
How is it possible that I’m not fat from eating out every day for months on end?
Well, I follow a system that allows me a lot of freedom while still staying on track with my goals.
This diet system only takes me 10 minutes per day to plan out, and as long as I stick to it I won’t have any worry when it comes to my weight.
A big part of it is food choices though, so I’m not just ordreing everything under the sun and expecting it to magically work out fine.
Let me give you a couple of my recent orders so you can see what I mean:
A few days ago, we went to Chili’s and ordered a couple of 6 ounce sirloin steaks with regular mashed potatoes (not loaded or whatever) and steamed broccoli.
I got water, and my wife got some ice tea lemonade thing which wasn’t very good according to her.
And we fed our daughter from our plates which definitely filled her up nicely.
I mean, she’s 1 lol
All in all, the meal was high protein, moderate fat, and relatively low carbs… and not too many calories for restaurant food.
Another example is my classic order:
A Chipotle bowl with rice, fajita veggies, mild salsa, cheese, and lettuce with double meat.
