The Proven Daily Morning Routine I Use To Get Closer To My Goals

If you’re looking for some kind of elaborate 17 step morning routine billionaires use to wake up at 2am, read 17 books, take a cold shower, warm up in the sauna, hop in the ice bath, meditate for 3 hours, run 26.2 miles, and hit the gym before starting their work day at 3am…

Then this isn’t it.

But if you’re wondering what a 34 year old married dad of 2 who works 43 hours a week, builds a business on the side, and stays in shape does every morning…

Then I can share exactly what that is.

Because that’s me, I’m the 34 year old.

Anyway, here’s what I do:

My Updated Morning Routine For 2024

For a bit of context, my family and I had to move 3 times in the last 2 months due to neighbors’ smoking habits stinking up our entire old apartment.

On top of that, I got a new job with different hours so we’ve been a bit off schedule lately.

But now that the dust has settled and we’re in the new house, we’re able to get back into a more regular routine.

Here’s what I do every morning:

  • Wake up at 5 (or earlier by accident)
  • Grab a cup of black coffee I set to brew at 4:45 the night before
  • Hang out with our babies while my wife gets ready for the day and has a moment to herself
  • Get to writing my daily fitness newsletter, restructure it into a Medium article, upload a video on YouTube days, post on Instagram stories and get a Reel ready
  • Check DMs, email replies, comments, and community posts
  • Take my pup out and serve up her morning meal
  • Decide whether or not I feel like eating breakfast myself
  • Eat and/or hang out with my family until I realize work time is rapidly approaching
  • Rush to get ready for work like I had no time this morning
  • Head out the door last minute

It’s simple, straightforward, and it gets me closer to where I want to be this year.

Sure, I could probably make this routine a lot more rigid and elaborate like some kind of internet guru…

But even when I retire from the workforce and go all-in with helping people get in shape from my content, programs, and coaching, I don’t see this changing all that much.

And as for hitting the weights?

I do that after work sometime around 7pm, so maybe I’ll have to share my night routine too since that’s been the most consistent part of my day for a while now, even through our recent events.

In the meantime, if you need help with diet and training so you can get in shape this year, check out more of my articles.

Any questions? Let me know.

Talk soon,
-Gabe
